Terms of Service

By using Pinyola (the "Application"), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Application.

2. Service Description

Pinyola is a personal and shared expense management application. It allows users to record expenses, create groups with other participants, split bills, set budgets, digitize tickets through OCR, and export reports. Some features are optional, such as voice dictation, associating a location with an expense, scanning tickets/documents, or connecting Google Drive to store ticket documents.

3. Usage Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Application.
• To create a permanent account you must provide a valid email address. You may use the Application as a guest without creating a permanent account (see section 4).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Guest Accounts

You may use the Application as a guest without providing an email address. Guest accounts are converted to permanent accounts when you link an email and password from the settings. You may also sign in with your Google or Apple account.

5. User Conduct

You must not:

• Use the Application for illegal or fraudulent activities.
• Attempt to access other users' data without authorization.
• Manipulate, damage, or interfere with the Application's operation.
• Use the Application to store sensitive financial information (account numbers, credit cards, etc.).

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights of the Application (code, design, brand) belong to the developer. Data entered by users (expenses, groups, etc.) belongs to the respective users.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Application is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. The developer is not responsible for:

• Errors in balance calculations or expense splits.
• Data loss due to technical failures, accidental deletion, or synchronization issues.
• Damages arising from the use or inability to use the Application.
• The accuracy of currency conversion, which is obtained from third-party services and may not be up to date.
• The result of optical character recognition (OCR) or voice dictation on the documents or data you process.

8. Privacy

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these terms.

9. Account Deletion

You can delete your account and the data that belongs to you at any time from Settings > Account > Delete account, or through the web page account deletion request. This action is irreversible. In shared wallets, your personal references are anonymized and the economic information is retained because it also belongs to other participants. The developer reserves the right to suspend or cancel access to the Application if these terms are violated.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be notified within the Application. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the rights you may have as a consumer in your country of residence.
